The unnamed stream at the northern boundary of 'Huntstown Wood' feeds, just outside the wood, a series of ponds before running down to the River Tamar a mile to the west.
During wet weather the stream runs quite strongly but, in long periods of dry weather dries up to a series of small pools.
The pond lies outside 'Huntstown Wood' and is private. Please do not use the gate to access the gate unless specific permission has been obtained from the owner.
The stream leaves 'Huntstown Wood' by passing under the fence in two pipes. After heavy rain the entrance to these pipes can become blocked and need clearing.
The northern bank of the stream forms the northern boundary of 'Huntstown Wood'.
The stream can now be accessed from both sides but, in places the way down to it are steep and can be slippery: care should be taken.
The stream lies well below the bank at the point where it enters 'Huntstown Wood' to the east.
