A Shepherd's Hut has been ordered from Rustic Huts, a small family firm in mid-Wales.

Basic Specification:

• Off-grid: there are no utilities on site so the hut needs to be self sufficient by using solar panels to charge the batteries;
• Built on a caravan chassis: 4.6m x 2m.

  • Traditional galvanised curved roof;
  • Fully sheep wool insulated roof structure & walls with breathable membrane throughout;
  • Timber ship-lap cladding to the exterior finished with a hard oil wax;
  • Timber casement window with traditional monkey tail window catch;
  • Stable door with black hinges and black gate latch;
  • Traditional gallows style roof supports;
  • External storage boxes at hitch end;
• Interior :
  • Wood burning stove on raised hearth and flue system;
  • Rustic solid oak worktop area with small Belfast sink and mixer tap;
  • Hardwood walls and solid oak flooring;
  • Fold out table;
  • Fold down bed base from the hitch end wall;
